- Windgap Gathering - Friday 21st to Sunday 23rd June (THIS WEEKEND) - part of Gathering Kilkenny. Featuring concert by Kilkenny Gospel Choir, Art Exhibition, Vintage Car Display, Ballroom Dancing, Street Stalls, Historical Walks and much more.
- IDEATE Festival - 5th & 6th July - IDEATE is a multi-disciplinary mini-festival event about making. It explores and celebrates craft, design and creativity through experimentation and collaboration. Imagining the future potential for craft, design and the creative process through shared practice, new technologies and a fusion of music, making, experimentation, talks, random happenings and exploration.
- Abhainn Rí Festival - 28th July to 4th August - is an annual community festival for Callan and its rural hinterland. Aiming to celebrate the many riches in local heritage and interest, it brings together people interested in sport and food, heritage and music, theatre, arts and family fun, and whatever you might be interested in yourself!
- Kilkenny Arts Festival - 9th to 18th August - Festival features the following art forms; Theatre & Dance, Classical Music, Music, Wired, Street, Literature, Visual Art and Craft. Underpinning the presentation of events is the commitment to bring work to Kilkenny that would not be seen outside the festival context, and a desire to commission and produce new work from Ireland and abroad.

- Bruce Springsteen & The E-Street Band - Saturday 27th & Sunday 28th July - Nowlan Park - The Boss comes to Kilkenny for the final two dates on the bands European tour in support of their 2012 album "Wrecking Ball". Support at the Saturday show is from Glen Hansard and Damien Dempsey. Support at the Sunday show is from Imelda May and LAPD (featuring Liam O’Flynn, Andy Irvine, Paddy Glackin & Dónal Lunny). - Juliet Turner - Saturday 22nd June - Hole In The Wall, High St - 8.30pm, €22 - Northern Irish singer/songwriter Juliet Turner has some hints of the old standbys in her folk-inflected music: Nick Drake, Carole King, even a bit of Kirsty MacColl in her vocals. However, Turner’s blend of melodic and lyrical folk, pop, and electronics also sits nicely next to contemporaries like Beth Orton and Emiliana Torrini, kilkennytourism.ie
- Last Rose of Summer Bicentenary Celebration Concert - Saturday 22nd June - Jenkinstown Park - 8pm, €22.50 - A concert to commemorate the bicentenary of the publication of Thomas Moore's "The Last Rose of Summer", which was one of his best-known works. Thomas Moore, Ireland's National Poet (or Bard of Ireland), composed "The Last Rose of Summer" when visiting his good friend, George "Punch" Bryan in Jenkinstown and it is fitting that the concert will be held within the original walled garden area of the Jenkintown woodlands. Anthony Kearns, an internationally renowned Irish tenor, will perform, along with his usual repertoire, some Thomas Moore Melodies.
