Ballykeeffe Climbing Festival
At Ballykeeffe Amphitheatre organised by Kilmanagh/ Ballycallan/ Killaloe (KBK) community group.
The weekend will kick off with ‘Floodlit Friday’. Climbing by floodlight - a first for outdoor climbing in Ireland.
Saturday will be all about climbing and a ‘Come and try it’ workshop will be provided from 2-5pm.
Also a demo of 'Cliff Rescue' by South East MOuntain Rescue Assn (SEMRA).
KBK will host a barbeque on Saturday evening followed by a guest speaker.
Spectators are welcome at any time.
KBK have planned this event to celebrate the history of climbing in the Quarry and it has been organised in association with Tyndall Mountain Club and Mid Tipp Hillwalkers. Mid Tipp Hillwalkers hold club nights at Ballykeeffe Quarry every Tuesday night throughout the Summer months.
The only charge is for parking and BBQ
